- ProofPlus® is one of the few native XML publication systems. It uses XML to manage both component libraries and document assembly. It also uses native XML methods (XSLT, FO, CSS) to produce automated composition.
- Users can use normal point-and-click editing methods, and the system will control and preserve all the structural information — casual users need know little or nothing about XML to make revisions.

- ProofPlus® can produce XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) filings, an exciting new standard investigated by the SEC for submitting finanacial documents.
- And for the techies: ProofPlus® is built on technical industry standards, allowing for ready integration into pre-existing systems. It features a SOAP API layer, JAAS compliancy (with pluggable authentication support, including LDAP) and RDBMS portability. Structural document validation is done through XML schemas. Our default RDBMS is PostgreSQL, an industrial-strength open source data server.
